About Us

Developing Site Ready Solutions

The UK construction industry is at a pivotal moment. With an ambitious government target to deliver 1.5 million new homes in five years, the sector faces a critical skills shortage that threatens to disrupt these plans. A Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) report highlights the urgent need for 225,000 additional workers by 2027, with bricklaying, carpentry, and groundworks among the hardest-hit trades. This crisis isn’t new—it’s the result of decades of challenges, including an ageing workforce, declining new entrants, and fragmented training pathways, all compounded by Brexit, post-COVID pressures, and rising costs.

At Site Ready Solutions, we’re stepping up to meet this challenge head-on. We’ve developed innovative workforce development programmes that attract fresh talent, equip them with practical skills, and create clear pathways into rewarding construction careers. Starting with bricklaying—one of the most essential and celebrated trades in homebuilding—we’re working closely with subcontractors, homebuilders, and industry leaders to bridge the skills gap and build a sustainable future for construction.

Our Programme

The Site Ready Programme

Attract

We inspire individuals of all ages to consider a rewarding career in construction through partnerships with schools, FE colleges, charities, and community groups. By fostering local talent, we help contractors fulfil their social value commitments and connect residents with exciting opportunities in construction.

Train

Our employer-led training programmes equip participants with the essential technical and soft skills required for entry-level construction roles. The Site Ready Programme includes as standard Level 1 Health & Safety and CSCS certification, along with practical skills in areas like employability and financial management. Delivered over two weeks in a real-world, on-site environment, our training prepares individuals to thrive in the construction industry.

Place

Collaborating with a range of construction and homebuilding companies, we place our Site Ready graduates into apprenticeships, jobs, and in-work training programmes. Employers can trust that our candidates are prepared to contribute from day one, while trainees are provided with a clear path to building their careers.

Retain

We ensure long-term success for both our trainees and employers through ongoing mentorship. Experienced tradespeople serve as mentors, offering 1-on-1 guidance to trainees and regularly checking in with employers to support progress and retention.
